Versions vidm 3.3.6, vrslcm 8.7 other products on 8.6.4 version

Step 1
-Gather license keys from vRSLCM, vIDM, vRLI (save somewhere safe)
-gather any service accounts
-export any certificates
-Gather locker information from vrslcm and save to your password vault
-Get list of FQDN’s and IP’s vRSLCM, vIDM, vRLI -including vips (save somewhere safe)
-Get sizes of products example large & cpu memory
-Get port groups of products
-get versions of products

Step 2
-Last backup of products
-Unassociated any products from vrslcm you want to keep and don’t do any of the below for the products you want to keep
(example delete product vrops from vrslcm but keep vms, remove vidm authentication from vrops, Remove vidm adapter and automation adapter / remove associated market place plugins through vrops)
-Turn off vIDM,vRLI, vRSLCM for two weeks (Power off vIDM through vRSLCM)

Step 3
-Rename servers to servername-old
-update server notes in vCenter with change details
-remove any old snapshots
-untick admin state in nsx-t load balancing
-remove active monitor from server pool in nsx-t
-Untick nic at power on for each virtual machine
-remove any associated affinity rules

Step 4
-Disable or ensure nsxt load balancer settings for vidm & vra are disabled.
-Revoke of certificates (if any)
-Removal of:
– service accounts
– dns entries
– Computer object
-Delete virtual machines
-Retire associated CIs for your management system
