This blog is a walk through for upgrading vrslcm from 8.7 to 8.10
First thing is to check the VMware interoperability page to ensure there is a upgrade path from 8.7 to 8.10

Next thing is download the vrslcm upgrade package (VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.10 Update Repository Archive)
Upload the iso to your content library or datastore and connect it to your vrslcm virtual machine
Login to your vrslcm and click lifecycle operations
click setting and click system upgrade
Click cdrom and click check for upgrade
Click upgrade
Click I took a snapshot before and click next (you should take before the upgrade)
Click run precheck
Click upgrade
Log back in once completed
Check your version
Click your account in the right hand corner and click about
Done
